Wylies Baths

Nestled just south of Coogee Beach below the Bondi to Maroubra coastal walkway is the historic Wylies Baths. Established in 1907, the baths offer 180-degree views of the Pacific Ocean and over to the famous Wedding Cake Island.  Not just a swimming destination, Wylies Baths is also a spectacular wedding venue filled with character and charm.

It was our pleasure to be chosen as one of the preferred caterers for this unique venue and our recent wedding here was perfect in every way. Working with a “seaside prom” theme, the venue was transformed with an incredible amount of detail.  Handmade table runners ran down the centre of the two long tables, coloured bunting festively decorated the roof of the marquee and furniture and photos from the couples home were intricately weaved into the décor.

Bunches of daisy’s and a homemade lemonade stand completed the theme and guests arrived sporting fancy frocks and bowties. As a personal touch to this special day, the bride and groom asked selected guests to contribute a dessert that formed a help-yourself Kiosk including cupcakes, slices and lolly jars. A breathtaking cheese table was also created and the couple made their own tea bags that read “TJ and Lefty, the perfect blend”.

This beautiful location, perched on Sydney’s spectacular coastline offers seaside charm and natural beauty and has definitely become one of Katering’s favourite wedding venues.
